- First, make sure that you have a shortcut for Google Chrome. In case, you don’t then make a shortcut.
- After creating the shortcut, right-click on it and then click on Properties.
- When the Properties window opens up, on the Target box, enter the below text at the end of the string:
-disable-features=GloabMediaControls
- Once you’re done with that, click on Apply and then close the Properties window.
- Now, you can launch Google Chrome and you won’t see the Global Media Controls button.
Another Method to Remove Global Media Control button
You can if you don’t want to create a shortcut but wants to quickly launch Chrome with no Media Control.
There are cases where you will prefer launching Google Chrome immediately with Global Media Controls button removed along with no shortcuts. In such case you can use the following RUN command to launch Media Controls removed Chrome browser without creating any shortcut:
Chrome.exe -disable-features=GlobalMediaControls
After hitting the OK button, you will launch Google Chrome with Media Controls. Use the above command whenever you want to launch Chrome without Global Media Controls.
How to enable Chrome’s Global Media Controls button
- Open your Chrome browser and then enter the following in its address bar:
Chrome ://flags/#global-media-controls.
- After that from the drop-down menu, select Enabled, it’ll be at the right of the Global Media Controls options.
