Telegram Voice chats 2.0 launched to rival clubhouse
Like Clubhouse, the audio-chat messaging app, Telegram, one of the popular messaging service providers has launched the Voice Chat 2.0 feature. Using this feature, users along with unlimited participants can conduct live voice chat sessions.
Along with the voice chat feature, there comes other features like the voice chat recording, invitational links, hand raising mechanism, and voice chat titles. Telegram released this update after Twitter Space and Clubhouse, the popular messaging service provider came to the rise.
In Telegram, now, you can also cancel forwarded messages, listen to voice messages from where you left off, and even change the recipient.

On Friday, 19th of this month, Telegram, on a blog post announced many features. These features mirrored the services of what Clubhouse provided. Through the Voice Chats 2.0 feature, a channel’s and public group’s admin can conduct voice calls with unlimited participants.

Initially, this feature was launched only for group chats. However, now, admins can record voice calls and share with his/her channel or group participants who may have missed a session of the live voice call.
Also, the users taking part in the live voice call session can see when their call is being recorded. A red light would show up next to their name during the voice call. If a user or participant is interested in speaking in the voice chats when they remain muted, they’ll need to raise hands, that’s similar to Clubhouse.
Admins can also select the users that he/she wants, who can participate, through the bio of the listener. Group and channel admins can create separate links for speakers and listeners, to monitor who is speaking.
Celebrities can maintain their privacy by allowing users to join a call using their channel’s name on Telegram.
What else
In the Android version, Telegram has added a feature where users can choose an action to configure in the chat list, by swiping left. Actions included are pinning, muting, archiving, marking a chat as read and delete. In the iOS version, the same feature can be performed by either swiping left or right.
