Vivo S9 5G, Vivo S9e 5G With Triple Rear Cameras Launched: Price, Specifications
Both Vivo S9 5G and S9e have been launched in China. Both the phones are 5G ready and are the successor of the current S7 lineup. In looks-wise, S9 5G comes with a triple camera setup at the rear, a wide-notch that accommodates dual selfie cameras, and a unique gradient design.
On the other hand, Vivo S9e has a similar design to S9 5G; the only difference is, it comes with a waterdrop notch display. When it comes to other specifications, Vivo S9 includes an 1100 SoC Dimesity MediaTek processor, a 33W fast charging support, and a 44MP selfie camera.
Whereas Vivo S9e comes with an 820 SoC Dimensity MediaTek processor, fast charging is the same, and finally, a 32MP selfie camera. Read on to know briefly about the two 5G phone’s specifications, price, and availability.
Vivo S9 5G: Specifications & Features
Vivo S9 5G comes with a 6.44-inch AMOLED display; not only that, but it’s also the first phone series to equip MediaTek Dimensity 1100 processor. The MediaTek chipset uses 4 plus 4 configurations.
The Prime Cortext-A78 is clocked at 2.6GHz, whereas the others at 2.06GHZ. The processor includes fps power saving, 5G UltraSave power-saving, and compatibility with sub-6Ghz.
90Ghz refresh rate and HDR10+ are also supported; the display also comes with TUV Rheinland Eye Comfort Certification, a 180Hz touch sampling, and an SGS Seamless certification.
When you look at the design, it’s the same as Vivo S7 with a squared camera and a straight edge camera. The camera features a 64MP primary camera, an 8MP Ultra-wide lens, and a 2MP macro lens.
Vivo S9 5G’s notch accommodates a dual selfie camera encompassing a 44MP primary and an 8MP Ultra-wide lens. You can even shoot selfies in low-light conditions because of the two soft lights embedded in the selfie camera.
When it comes to memory, you get two options; the first is the 8GB/128GB variant, and the second, the 12GB/256GB variant. The phone is also supposed to come ultra-thin VC cooling plate, which is, in contrast to other plates, thinner.
Battery and charging wise, Vivo S9 5G comes with a 4000mAh battery with 33W fast charging support. It’s based on Android version 10 and runs on OrginOS 1.0. Some other features include an in-display fingerprint sensor, face unlocking support, NFC, and Bluetooth v5.2.

In China, Vivo S9 5G starting price is ¥2,999, i.e., around ₹33,700 for the 8GB + 128GB variant. Whereas, the 12GB + 256GB variant is priced at ¥ 3, 299, i.e., around ₹37,100.
The phone comes in three color options, Aurora Blue, White, and Midnight Blue. It is expected to be available starting March 12, 2021.
Vivo S9e 5G: Specifications & Features
Vivo S9e 5G is the lighter version (in terms of specifications) of the S9 5G variant. S9e 5G doesn’t come with AMOLED; instead, it comes with an OLED display but with a 90Hz refresh rate, HDR10 support, and a 180Hz touch sampling rate.
When it comes to the process, Vivo S9e 5G is powered by MediaTek 820 chipset. Just like Vivo S9 5G, S9e 5G comes in two variants, 8GB/128GB and 8GB/256GB.
The phone is acquired with a 32MP single selfie camera and a 64MP Primary Sensor, a 4CM macro lens, and a 120-degree ultrawide lens. Vivo S9e 5G includes a 4,100mAh battery that supports 33W fast charging capability.

In Chine, Vivo S9e 5G is priced at ¥2,399, i.e., around ₹26,900 for the 8GB + 256GB variant. On the other hand, the 8GB + 256GB variant is priced at ¥2,699 i.e., around ₹30,300.
This too comes in three color options, Obsidian Black, Crystal Diamond, and Starry Night Aurora. The pre-order will begin starting March 22, and the sale will start on March 27.
